now absolutely no chance of our
system running dry resulting in
possible damage to the hydrogen
fuel cell. To

individuals with petrol run
vehicles, but we have had people
wishing to trial our hydrogen fuel cell
technology on their diesel

How
this technology works with
diesel applications
The
diesel combustion engine is
governed by a fixed number of
variables when it comes down to
fuel efficiency. All diesel
engine designs are centered
around a standardised air to
fuel ratio that effectively
remains constant. We can
increase their efficiency with
forced induction & mechanical
advances, lessen the weight of
the vehicle, reduce wind
resistance and so forth, but at
the end of the day
the
overall economy is still limited
by the air to fuel ratio.
Hydrogen gas
aids in combustion by assisting
the engine in two primary areas:
1.
The gas becomes an additional
fuel for each combustion
explosion, thereby lessening the
amount of diesel required.
2.
The gas acts as a catalyst and
assists the rate at which the
flame is propagated over the
full combustible mixture range.
This means that virtually all
diesel within each firing is
burnt, thus allowing for cooler
exhaust temperatures and a more
effective power stroke which
produces more torque and thus
more work from less fuel.
Research
from independent studies at
different universities using
various fuels have shown that
flame speed increases when small
amounts of hydrogen are added to
air-fuel mixes.

P. Eng., ex-professor of
Dynamics and Canadian inventor,
encapsulates his research as
follows –
“...a small amount of hydrogen
added to the air intake of a
combustion engine would enhance
the flame velocity and thus
permit the engine to operate
with leaner air to gasoline /
diesel mixture than otherwise
