Q:
How does the Millennium Fuel
Cell work?
A:
The Millennium Fuel Cell uses a small amount of electricity from your vehicle’s
alternator, and this is used to separate water into its elemental form,
consisting of 2 parts hydrogen & 1 part oxygen,
(commonly referred to as Hydroxy gas or HHO
gas) this is done via the
process of electrolysis.
This gas pound for pound provides 3 times more
power during combustion than gasoline and when ignited burns absolutely clean.
As you drive, your engine is being stripped of carbon deposits.
The HHO gas, when introduced into the intake manifold of your engine, will
accelerate the flame spread during combustion, thereby getting more of the
vaporised fuel to combust during the initial part of the power stroke. The
benefits of supplementing a combustion engine with exogenous hydrogen have been
well documented.
Q:
Will the hydrogen gas damage my
engine?
A: NO. In fact the
hydrogen gas actually improves the running of the engine. Those small amounts of
Hydrogen (more correctly Hydroxy gas) and water vapour COOL DOWN the engine and
bring about other beneficial effects, such as the complete combustion of the
gasoline charge, less vibration, stripping off old carbon deposits, etc.
This technology has been available for quite
some time, and has been shown to reduce the deleterious effects of thermal
loading, whilst reducing the occurrence of unburnt fuel squeezing past the
pistons and breaking down your engines oil. This technology actually assists in
the proper running of your vehicle’s engine.
Q: Is it safe
to use?
A: The process is
completely safe, as our fuel cell generates hydrogen gas as your vehicle
needs it, rather than being stored in pressurized tanks, as is the case with
government hydrogen technologies. Thousands of cars have been safely converted
without any issues or incidents.
Best of all, this conversion process is
completely reversible so it will not void your auto manufacturers warranty. It
simply acts as an add-on to significantly increase your fuel efficiency.
Q:
How do I save money with the
Millennium Fuel Cell?
A:
The Millennium Fuel cell saves
you money by assisting your engine in two primary areas;
1) The gas produced within the
cell provides the engine with additional energy, thus not requiring as much fuel
to perform the same workload.
2)
A small amount of hydrogen
added to the air intake of a combustion engine enhances the flame velocity and
thus allows the engine to operate with leaner air to gasoline / diesel mixture
than otherwise possible. The result, far less pollution with more power and
better mileage.
Q: Will
it work in my car?
A: The
Millennium Fuel Cell will work in virtually any
conventional motor vehicle. If your car or truck has an internal combustion
engine that burns gasoline, LPG or diesel fuel, the hydrogen technology will
work - regardless of the make or model, or vehicle age. We should also emphasize
that our system works equally well in diesel, carburettor and fuel injected
vehicles.
The reason why our
Fuel Cell will work in ANY vehicle with an internal combustion
engine is because it channels the hydrogen fuel mix through the existing air
intake system, via the standard air intake hose or air cleaner. There are no
modifications to the current engine required. You just plug the generator's gas
outlet into the existing air intake system and you're all set to go.
Interestingly enough, some people have even
installed the Millennium Fuel Cell on their
boats and yachts and have achieved significant fuel savings.
Q:
Does the Millennium Fuel Cell
come with a guarantee?
A: Yes, our system comes
with a full money-back guarantee. Every generator is made of the highest quality
products available and is thoroughly inspected and tested before it is sent out
- so defects will be rare. Nevertheless, should you find that the Fuel Cell does
not perform for you as claimed; we will refund your money.
If you have installed our system within your
vehicle in accordance with the installation instructions AND AFTER YOU HAVE
CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOLLOWED THEIR INSTRUCTIONS and still you are
not experiencing the appropriate fuel savings, send the unit back to us and
we'll give you a full refund on the purchase price (minus postage and shipping).
Q: Is it
hard to install?
A: The simple answer is no.
We have found that if an individual has the ability to change the alternator on
their vehicle or install a car stereo, then likewise installing the millennium
Fuel Cell should not pose a problem. Within your Millennium Fuel Cell kit you
will receive full installation instructions including diagrams and schematics.
The simplicity of our kit is in part the reason
for our success. The millennium Fuel Cell requires no modification to your
vehicle’s engine – it is entirely an add -on system that once installed, will
interface seamlessly with your current vehicle’s setup.
Unlike other similar kits available, we ensure
that we provide everything you require for a complete & successful installation.
Note: If you have
reservations about self installation, we have found that a qualified mechanic
requires approximately 1 -2 hours to complete this process for you. So, if
you’re not mechanically inclined or just don’t have the time, this may be the
best option.
Q: Does the Millennium Fuel Cell come with
after-sales support?
A: Yes, we realize the importance of
prompt after
sales support. We are committed
to answering all e-mail enquiries &
questions that we receive, and will endeavor to
reply within 24 hours. We believe in the Millennium
Fuel Cell because we know it works, and we want it to work for you, so you can
reap all of the benefits of a free, cleaner greener fuel.
Q:
What type of
water should I use in my Hydrogen Generator?
A:
It is recommended that you use only Distilled Water in all
of our Hydrogen Generators. Purified Filtered water can be used. However, most
drinking water contains many minerals and other chemicals added for flavor.
Distilled water is virtually tasteless,
odorless and has almost no mineral content. Any minerals in the water used in
the electrolysis process, will cake, or slowly build up a mineral crust on the
inside of the electrodes. If this caking effect over time and use becomes too
great, eventually it could (SHORT) and would blow out the protective fuse
installed on all our units for safety. A blown fuse will protect the unit from
any damage.
Q:
What about the electrolyte freezing in
winter conditions?
A: The
electrolyte that we use shares similar qualities as the coolant within your
radiator. The substrate that we suggest using as an electrolyte doesn’t freeze
at zero degrees as water does. In geographical areas that frequently experience
below zero temperatures, we recommend that the cell is wrapped around with soft
copper. Either end of the copper tubing is tapped into the radiator before the
thermostat, so as to ensure the rapid heating of the unit. This will ensure that
the cell is heated within a period of 4 -6 minutes.
Q:
What happens if my Hydrogen Generator
runs out of water? Will it damage the unit, or cause any damage to my vehicle?
A: No it
will not damage the system. Once installed and electricity is applied, the
water is what makes the internal connection. Water is conductive to
electricity. The electrolysis process very gradually separates the water
(H2O) 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen down to its basis elements.
Browns Gas as this is called also contains small amounts of water vapor. Once
the water level gets down below the electrodes inside the unit, there is nothing
left to conduct electricity, and the unit becomes inactive. Your vehicle is
then only burning its ordinary fuel. You will usually notice a slight drop in
power levels, and most noticeably in decreased fuel mileage. It is recommended
that you check the water level every time you fuel your vehicle.
Q:
What is the possibility of damaging my
engine with too lean an air/fuel mixture?
A: This
is a fair question to ask, as there has been many references made about engines
“leaning out’’ and as a consequence burning valves and damaging pistons. The
frequency of this question has therefore warranted a response by us.
It is still of the held position that
engines are kept at a constant air / fuel ratio of 14.7 / 1 primarily for the
purpose of keeping the engine cooler by supplying extra fuel for its cooling
ability. The actual reason for this ratio is that it provides the cleanest burn
with the least amount of emissions. The term used for this is called
stoichiometric, meaning that there is a perfect mixture of air and fuel
to insure complete combustion.
This air to fuel ratio also happens to be the
hottest temperature – hence why car manufacturers use this ratio
to keep within the emission limits. This ratio provides the hottest burn for the
least emissions.
Either side of this ratio exhaust gas
temperatures (EGT), will fall. If you go leaner than this the EGT will drop, and
if you go richer than this the EGT will fall.
Maximum power is found considerably below 14.7
/ 1, but as this area of the engine’s range is rarely used (apart from auto
racing), a compromise between many variables is required.
The only time a leaner mixture will burn
hotter and run the risk of ‘’burning valves’’ is under WOT – an acronym for wide
open throttle for an extended period of time. Any individual who has purchased
our system is unlikely to spend long periods under WOT conditions – sensible
driving with sound fuel saving technology is what is required to save on fuel
costs.
Q:
Will hydrogen supplementation work on
diesel engines?
A: Yes,
our fuel cell technology works well with diesel equipped vehicles. Supplemental
hydrogen gas works in effectively the same way with diesel engines as it does
with engines run on conventional fuel.
The gas acts as a catalyst and assists the rate
at which the flame is propagated over the full combustible mixture range. This
means that virtually all diesel within each firing is burnt, thus allowing for
cooler exhaust temperatures and a more effective power stroke which produces
more torque and thus more work from less fuel.
Q: How much can I expect to gain in fuel savings?
A:
This is the number one question that is on an individuals mind when considering
purchasing a Millennium Fuel Cell kit. Our kit is composed of a number of
individual components that all add up to give a % result.
As there are many
variables, we suggest that you read our savings page for a more detailed
breakdown. We explain each component in greater detail here. As a baseline
figure, and without addressing driving habits, our controlled testing has shown
an average gain between 15 & 25%.
Q:
Will
Installing and using a Hydrogen Generator affect my vehicle warranty?
A:
As our system supplies supplemental hydrogen that aids the combustion efficiency
of the vehicle, there is very little that can negatively affect your vehicle.
With car warranties, anything that may be seen to have contributed to the cause
of an accident that has not been fitted by the factory can be used as a defense
against the owner. If you fit after market wheels or perhaps slightly different
tyres to your vehicle and run off the road into a dam – there is a good
possibility that your warranty will be in question. Some new cars specifically
state that if any modifications are made to the factory specifications of your
new vehicle it may void your factory warranty. A question right now is, Since
the only invasion of the engine is drilling a small hole in the air cleaner
housing to attach the plastic hose that inhales the (Browns Gas) into the
engine, we find it difficult to see why it would affect the warranty. There is
nothing about our system that can cause damage by itself. Only the improper
installation or use can possibly cause any damage. If you can read and follow
instructions, you will not cause any damage, so any claim against your warranty
will stem from a different source.
